I’m Kimberly Lola, a modern calligrapher and engraver based in the Washington, DC area.

I’ve had “pretty handwriting” since elementary school, so much so, that growing up people used to ask me to write their wedding invitations. While I politely declined back then, the pandemic gave me the nudge I needed to fall in love with an art form I’ve always been curious about.

Beyond my love for beautiful letters, I'm also an avid journaler, bookworm, and public health professional with a passion for creating space for activities that enhance our overall health and well-being. For me, calligraphy is more than just an art form – it's a mindfulness practice that allows me to slow down, be creative, and reflect on quotes from my favorite books or articles. The unique ability of calligraphy to exude positivity, inspiration, and elegance is something I admire, and I'm grateful to share my passion while making a small impact in the lives of others.
